Abdullah ibn Masud narrated that Rasulullah (SAW) said: He who reads one letter of the Quran it (becomes) for him a good deed, and a single good deed is rewarded (by Allah) by ten times the like thereof. I am not saying that Alif-Lam-Mim is (just) one word, but that Alif is a (separate) letter (word), Lam is a (separate) letter (word), and Mim is a (separate) letter (word). [Tirmidhi]
Islam emphasises on the importance of the education of women. At LCIC we aim to provide educational opportunities for sisters. We have a sister’s tajweed class which takes place every Wednesday from 9.30am to 10.30am.
There is also a class which takes place on the first Saturday of each month. The class consists of tajweed lessons as well as tafsir class on different surahs in the Holy Qur’an.
Alhumdullilah these classes are incredibly beneficial and have helped many sisters realise their areas of improvement.
This an essential lesson for all sisters to attend and with learning tajweed, it also develops a love for reciting the holy Qur’an.
